The team is working to develop a job site where automation decreases transport, air pollution, noise and safety risks by considering the ESG principles. A first aim of the project concerns the design of buildings structures and envelopes through pre-casted or pre-assembled modular elements, with composite elements based on a combination of concrete, wood, steel and/or plastic. The proposed hybrid solutions also consider new generation of concrete admixtures with recycled aggregates and carbon footprint reduction, as well as special integrations of construction modules with M&E installations. The second aim of the project concerns the increase of digital DfMA in building design in order to improve quality, construction time, safety, cost effectiveness since an environmental sustainability must correspond to an economic sustainability in order to be realistic and feasible. Finally, the project aims to propose a new approach to contructions by focusing the attention to people needs and not only market requirements.
